Working with Process Designer in Offline and Online Modes

You can work both in an online and offline mode in the Process Designer. You can design a process flow even if you are not connected with the Adeptia Server. At any moment, you can switch from Offline mode to Online and vice-versa.

To switch to an offline mode:

  1. In the Process Designer, click Modes from the menu bar.

  2. Click Online. The checkmark displayed next to the Online mode is removed and you will be shifted to the Offline mode. Your online/offline status is displayed on the bottom left side of the Process Designer window.

    While working in the Offline mode, you cannot save the process flow on the Adeptia Server. However, you can save the process flow on your local hard disk.

    You cannot see the objects (activities, process flows, and so on) of other users created on the Adeptia Server.

To switch to an online mode:

  1. Click Modes from the menu bar.

  2. Click Online. 

  3. Click Actions > Enter Login Information.

  4. On the Login Information window, provide your login credentials.

  5. Click Submit. This activates the online mode for the Process Designer screen.

  6. If you belong to more than one group, then Select Group window appears.

  7. Select the group from the Group and click OK. This activates the online mode for the selected user.

    The Group drop-down list is populated with only those groups of which the logged in user is a member.
