Prerequisites for installing on single node

There are some prerequisites to meet and configurations to make before you begin to deploy Rancher environment and the other components using Adeptia Rancher package. Adeptia provides the Adeptia Rancher package, which includes Rancher, Rancher Kubernetes Engine 2 (RKE2), Adeptia Automate application, and other required components to simplify deployment and cluster management.

Prerequisites​

Before you begin to deploy, ensure the following requirements are in place:

WarningA public IP for the VM node is required if you need to access it from outside the network.

  • Linux VM

    • Provision a Linux VM node with administrative privileges.

      The following table shows the required configuration for the VM node:

      o Ubuntu 22.04

      o Ubuntu 24.04

      o Amazon Linux 2

    • Ensure that the following ports are open on the VM:

      • 443 (Inbound): Required to access Adeptia Automate and Rancher UI after deployment (open by default).

  • Domain name required to access the Rancher UI and Adeptia Automate application

    • If you are using a Windows system, install an SSH client (for example, PuTTY) on it and keep the ppk file handy to connect to the VM.
