New features and improvements​

  • New OAS 3.0 document based app connectors

    Adeptia Connect now integrates the following app connectors that use a document (OAS 3.0) based framework. To learn more, refer to the section App Connectors.

  • **Support of multiple map values for a source value
    **Adeptia Connect now allows you to create a Multi-Valued Map, enabling each source value to be associated with multiple target values. Click here for more information.

  • **Support for using a JSON specification file to create a JSON layout
    **Adeptia Connect now allows you to create a JSON Layout by uploading a JSON Specification file that in turn can be used for validating the JSON data. To learn more, refer to this page.

  • Enhancement for auto-populating Array Fields in JSON Layout The application now automatically populates the field path in Array Fields when creating a JSON Layout. Click here for more information.

  • Support for fetching Generative AI mapping suggestions from an AI Knowledge base

    • Adeptia Connect now enables you to fetch mapping suggestions using the Layout field descriptions available within an AI Knowledge Base when the Generative AI feature for AIMap is enabled. This works for Standard Layouts, EDI, SAP, and IDOC too. To learn more, refer to the AIMap section.  

  • Additional Partner Identification parameters for EDIFACT Transactions
    Two new parameters, Partner Routing Address (UNB0203) and Host Routing Address (UNB0303), have been added for partner identification in EDIFACT Transactions. Click here for more information. 

  • **Search functionality in Data Viewer
    **You can now search for records within your Input (Source) or Output (Destination) data in the Data Viewer of Data Mapping. To learn more, refer to this page.

  • Support to display the field details of a JSON Layout in the Data Mapper
    The JSON Layout (created using JSON specification file) when loaded in the Data Mapper now also shows the fields' details on the following parameters: 

    • Data Type

    • Length

    • Format

    • Mandatory Fields

    • Conditional Mandatory Fields

    • Optional Fields

    • Title

  • Azure Service Bus Listener details in Context Info  
    The Context Info (accessible under Dashboard > Transactions > More Actions) now includes the following details about an Azure Service Bus Listener used in a Process Flow:

    • EventId
    • EventName
    • transactionExecutionloggerId​

  • **Enhanced user interface for AI Knowledge base
    **The UI of the AI Knowledge Base has been improved to enhance user experience. To learn more, refer to the AI Knowledge Base section. 

  • Enhancement to overwrite changes in Web Mapper and Web Process Designer 
    You now have the option to overwrite the changes made by another user to an activity within the Web Mapper or Web Process Designer. To achieve this, set the following properties to true:

  • **Improved turnaround time for Adeptia Connect redeployment
    **

    During application redeployment, you can now skip executing database migration, cleanup, and static jobs by adding the parameter --set global.config.redeploy=true to the installation command. Click here for more information.

  • Support for jars containing custom REST Endpoints
    You can now upload a jar containing custom REST API endpoints. 

  • Implementation of a new securityContext parameter A new securityContext parameter, ReadOnlyRootFileSystem, has been implemented at the container level in the Helm Chart. To support this parameter, RabbitMQ has been upgraded to v3.12.2. 

  • Support for processing a password-protected PDF file
    Adeptia Connect now allows you to create a PDF Layout by processing a password-protected PDF file. To learn more, refer to this page. 

  • Active/Inactive based sorting functionality on Object manage page

    You now have the option to sort the following types of activities based on whether they are Active (ON) or Inactive (OFF).

  • Improved user interaction with AC activities
    You now have the option to expand or select all the activities at once on the Project Activities Manage page. To learn more, refer to this page.

  • **Testing Application Connection without Deactivating a Transaction
    **You now have the option to test the connection with the application at Source or Target without deactivating a Transaction. Click here for more information. 

  • Trigger time for Activated Transactions and Events

    Adeptia Connect now provides the information about the time at which a Transaction or an Event for which polling is defined, will trigger after they have been activated.

  • Support for deleting a file after processing when Azure Blob is used as the source in a Transaction
    You now have the option to delete a file after it has been processed when using Azure Blob as the source in a Transaction. To enable this feature, a Delete on Success checkbox has been added to the Select File Location screen for such Transactions. 

Security enhancements 

  • Vulnerable third-party jars have been upgraded to remove critical and high vulnerabilities.  

Bug Fixes

  • The decryptInput functionality was not working in Data Mapping when the XSL streaming was enabled and XSL version 1.1 or 2.0 was used.

  • A process flow using a Rest Consumer got executed with the error “Incorrect User ID and Password”.

  • The View FTP Event screen (Transaction > View References > FTP Event > View) did not show the updated Trigger Type value for an FTP Event associated with a Transaction. 

  • When editing a Template with a large number of parameters, the Define Parameter screen took longer than expected to load and the page became unresponsive.

  • The Record Identifier field did not get disabled when users selected the First field as the Identifier Field while creating an Advanced Text Layout.

  • The application took longer than expected to load the list of mappings in the Select Mapping field (on the Define Mapping screen) while creating a Transaction.

  • When a Process Flow that used an Excel Layout (created using Layout Builder) was migrated with its dependencies, the advancedSchemaRepository folder was not getting created in the Export Zip file. 

  • The application took longer than expected to Import activities.  

  • The Move All option failed to move all the AIS activities from one Project to another.

  • Sometimes when the user edited an Azure Service Bus (ASB) Listener, the Process Flow field did not retain the selected option, and required a re-selection.

  • A mapping was getting saved when the users attached a file and generated the output in Data Viewer, even when the autosave for the mapping was disabled. 

  • Users failed to upgrade or install Adeptia Connect when pod annotations were specified under the global > config > podAnnotations section in the values.yaml file.

  • The Partner user Homepage showed an incorrect welcome message.

  • When users attempted to reorder the variable list within the Data Mapper using drag and drop, the variables were replaced instead of being reordered. 

  • Users were unable to create an Advanced Text Layout when the record identifier fields contained double quotes ("").

  • The list of activities associated with a project did not show the following types of activities created in Adeptia Connect.

    • Transaction

    • Template

    • Web Form

    • Email Notification Format

  • The Process Flows were getting aborted when the users enabled JTA Enlist in Advanced Database Target.

  • While creating a PDF Layout, the misaligned contents in the file are not rendered correctly in the Layout.

  • After AIS to AC migration, in a mapping that used a context target, a blank value was getting generated even for an unmapped element.

  • After AIS to AC migration, some elements in a mapping were missing their prefix when the mapping was viewed in Debugger mode.

  • After AIS to AC Migration, a mapping that used a Web Service Provider or Web Service Consumer failed to load the target layout when the Provider or Consumer was renamed. 

  • After AIS to AC migration, some additional attributes for some of the elements in a mapping were getting generated.

  • Users were unable to copy a mapping and the associated local variables from one data mapper to another using the Copy Mapping option.

  • Data Viewer in Mapping was taking longer than expected to load a source file that had a large number of records.

  • A mapping was getting saved when the users attached a file and generated the output in Data Viewer, even when the autosave for the mapping was disabled.  

  • The application did not show any entries for the executed Data Interfaces on the Dashboard >Transactions > Data Interfaces section.​

  • The recipient failed to receive email notification related to the Process Flow execution when they used Mail Notification activity with TLS protocol v1 or v1.1.

  • An EDI Transaction produced an encrypted Target file on execution, even when the user had edited and disabled the Data Encryption for the target file in that transaction.

  • The checkbox preceding the activities found using global search should not have appeared.

  • Sometimes an EDI Inbound Transaction took longer than expected to execute when it processed a file with a rather large number of records.

  • A Process Flow with Repeater Service was not able to add multiple input streams.

  • The DB query function used in a mapping threw an error when Connection Pool was enabled in Database Info.

  • Users were unable to delete the redundant XSL templates created in the Data Mapper when the application was running on a Linux operating system. 

  • Users were unable to view the encrypted files in plain text, generated at the archival location for an EDI Outbound Transaction. This has been fixed by providing the View Plain Text Archived File checkbox on the Create Archive File screen. To learn more, refer to this page. 

  • The Excel Layout field name mismatch with the name of the same field in the Value Map caused the failure of Mapping associated with the Layout.

  • The UI was unresponsive at the File Generation Policy screen while trying to edit the Target of an existing EDI Transaction (created using bundled EDI Template) from LAN to FTP (SFTP).

  • The application did not list any existing Mapping while creating a Transaction that used the Source or Target Layouts other than the ones used in the Template. This has now been fixed by adding the property abpm.transaction.listAllMappings.enable. The default value for this property is no. Setting the property to yes lists all the existing Mappings that you have access to. Follow the steps given below to do so:

    • Click Accounts > Settings.
    • Expand the Server Node Settings in the left panel.
    • Select the server node.
    • Click Edit.
    • Click   to expand Adeptia Connect.
    • Enter yes as the value for the property abpm.transaction.listAllMappings.enable.
    • Click Save.
    • Click Reload Configuration.
