Seeing Mapping in View-only mode

Visual representation of any process makes it easier for an user to comprehend the underlying concept. Mapping in Adeptia Connect is a complex process that requires you to know the nuances of each and every step that is involved in it. While you have the option to see the details of a mapping in documented form, you can also take a look at the live graphical depiction of an existing mapping in Adeptia Connect. 

WarningYou can open a mapping in a view-only mode wherein you can perform some actions but cannot save the changes – It throws an alert message as you try to save the mapping after making any changes. 

To take a look at the mapping in view-only mode:

  1. Click Configure > Data Transformation > Mapping.

  2. Click More menu for the mapping activity whose details you want to view and click View.

    The View Mapping Details window opens.

  3. Click View Data Mapper.
    The visual representation of the selected mapping opens in a new tab in the browser.
