Creating an Application Action
An Application Action is an activity wherein you can select an app connector and define what data you want to fetch from or send to the third-party application using the selected app connector. It can be used at the Source, or Destination, or both in a Process Flow.
Here are the steps to create an Application Action.

Steps to create an Application Action

Go to Configure > APP CONNECTORS > Actions.

Click Create Application Action.

On the Create Application Action screen, do the following:


Once you create an Application Action, a request and a response XML Layout is created automatically. You can find them at Configure > XML Layout manage page. They can be identified by their description. -
Enter a name and description for the Application Action.

In the Access Information section, do the following:
- Select an App Connector based on your requirement to connect to the respective third-party application.
- Provide the Account associated with the App Connector you have selected. You can also create a new Account by clicking

In the Action Settings section, do the following:

Select a fetch or write action.

A write action can have the capability to perform batch operations.
For example, if you select the write action Create Bill (Batch), you can send the request to create multiple bills in one go by providing the batch size in the Batch Size field.

Select the Define Action Conditions field if you want to fetch the data based on the filter conditions associated with the fetch action you have selected.

This field is available only when you select a fetch action, for example, Get All Bills. -
In the Action Conditions section, define the conditions.
For example, if you have used QuickBooks as the application you want to connect to, and selected AP Aging Summary Reports as the fetch action, you can define the date range in the Date Macro field as the condition to fetch the report that includes the information for the defined date range.

In the Filter Criteria section, do the following:


This section becomes available only when you select a fetch action, for example, Get All Bills. -
Provide a criteria based on which you want to apply filters on the fetched records. You can set multiple filter conditions by using the AND and OR operators and the Add Rule button.

Click Add Filter to add more filters.

In the Select Project field, select a Project.
