Creating an account for BambooHR connector

In Adeptia Connect, you can create an account that contains the details for connecting to BambooHR and exchanging data with it. Below are the steps for creating an account in the following scenarios:

While defining the Source or Destination in a Template/Transaction​

  1. At the Select Account step, click  .

  2. On the Create New Account screen, enter a name for the account.

  3. In the Company Domain field, enter your BambooHR company domain as found in your BambooHR URL. If your BambooHR URL is https://abc.bamboohr.com, then company domain is abc. 

  4. In the API Key field, enter the API key to access your account in BambooHR. To create an API key, do the following: 

    1. Sign in to your BambooHR instance with administrator credentials.
    2. On the Home page, click Account and select API Keys.
    3. Click Add New Key.
    4. In the API Key Name field, enter a name for the API key and click Generate Key.

  5. Expand Advanced properties, and then provide values for the fields described in the following table:

    Provide Date Format
    • Enter a date format for your data.
    • Following are the supported date format: 
      • yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm:ss+hh:mm
      • yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm:ss-hh:mm
      • yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm:ss+hhmm
      • yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm:ss-hhmm
      • yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss'Z'
    • The default value for this field is yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss'Z'.
    Provide Time Zone
    		Select a time zone. 
    Select Project
    		Select a Project.

  6. Click Continue.
    You will be redirected to the BambooHR login page if you are not logged in. 

While defining the Application Trigger for a Process Flow​

You can create an account for BambooHR connector from within an Application Trigger (having BambooHR as the Source).

Follow the steps given below to create an account.

  1. At the Provide account information step on the Create Application Trigger screen, click .
  2. Follow the steps given here (step 2 through 6).

While defining the Application Action for a Process Flow​

An Application Action enables you to use an App Connector as a Source, or Destination, or both in a Process Flow. An Application Action is an activity wherein you can select BambooHR connector and define what data you want to fetch from or send to BambooHR.

While defining the Application Action, you can create an account that you can use for exchanging data with BambooHR.

Follow the steps given below to create an account.

  1. At the Provide account information step on the Create Application Action screen, click .
  2. Follow the steps given here (step 2 through 6).
